SUMMARY:Light Awareness - Measurement and Application
DESCRIPTION:Read the review of the day here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSupported by:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTop researchers with an interest in light from four different universities in Sweden will give presentations at the School of Engineering – Jönköping University on topics including physics\, visual ergonomics\, chronobiology\, design and architecture. \n\n\n\nThere will be demonstrations and hands-on measurements on the topic of flicker and glare in relation to their effects on human ergonomics. \n\n\n\nThe design implications of different light measurements will also be discussed and these will include: solar radiation\, spectra and intensity from different light sources. \n\n\n\nWe’ll also consider how measurement such as colour temperature or alpha-optics interact with environmental factors\, building design and human nature. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho should register?\n\n\n\nStudents in any kind of light educationPublic sector property managersDesign professionalsArchitectsFacility managers\n\n\n\n\n\nFree to attend\n\n\n\nNetworking lunchExpert presentationsHands-on measurement demonstrationsNetworking refreshments after event\n\n\n\n\n\nProgramme\n\n\n\n12:00 – Registration and lunch13:00 – Welcome from Johannes Lindén13:15 – Visual ergonomics\, flicker and glare – Hillevi Hemphälä13:45 – Measuring light and flicker – Johannes Lindén14:30 – Break/ Fika / Outdoors time / Measurement demonstrations 15:00 – Biology\, lighting design and architecture – demonstrating spectrum and light exposure Katharina Wulff\, Ute Besenecker\, Myriam Aries17:00 – End of seminar\, networking and refreshments \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresenters\n\n\n\n\nMyriam Aries\n\n\n\nPhD in Lighting Technology \n\n\n\nSchool of Engineering\, Jönköping University \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUte Besenecker\n\n\n\nPhD in Architectural Sciences \n\n\n\nKTH Royal Institute of Technology\, School of Architecture \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHillevi Hemphälä\n\n\n\nPhD in Visual Ergonomics \n\n\n\nLunds Tekniska Högskola\, Lund University \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJohannes Lindén\n\n\n\nPhD in Physics \n\n\n\nDivision Ergonomics and Aerosol Technology\, Lund University \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKatharina Wulff\n\n\n\nPhD in Biology \n\n\n\nDepartments of Radiation Sciences and Molecular Biology Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine (WCMM)\, Umeå University \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration closed on 01 May
